Is 220d Idle Rpm

Recommended Posts

Hi, has anyone experienced an idle RPM of 1200 from cold, my 220d does this from time to time. When it does it it stays at 1200 until the engine is at normal running temp, which I find strange as on other occasions it idles below 1000rpm which I think is normal. Phoned Lexus Glasgow about it who said they would look at it but didn't think anything could be done.

Also noticed that when it happens my mpg sems to be 3 to 4 mpg lower on the same trip.

Cheers

I think it's normal to have a slightly higher rev of 1200 when still warming up, I suppose. After a while mine goes down somewhere to 800.
