Gs Mark Ii Headlamps - Are They All The Same?

As per the thread I posted in the IS forums just now I popped up to the dealers earlier today and while having a look around the forecourt while I was waiting I noticed that the headlamps on a 52 plate GS were slightly darker than the headlamps on a 99 model - were the fronts changed as well as the backs, and if so are they interchangable like on the IS then?

I noticed that too. I'm sure they are interchangeable.
