Hello, I just want to say Hi and ask a few questions.

I live in the the state of Tennessee in the United States.

I have never owned a Lexus before but am in the market for a 1998-2000 GS 400.

1. Is there any thing about this model I should be aware of? Problems, recalls. etc. (Any problems with 1998 since it was 1st year of GS 400?)

2. Is there any difference in these years models from one another?

3. Where is a good place to get OEM parts at discount prices?

4. I noticed this is a UK forum. Is there a US Lexus forum?

Hi - and welcome to the club.

We don't have the GS400 here in the Uk, but there are a few GS300 and GS430 owners around (I have a 1999 GS300).

In general, I'm delighted with my GS and would recomment it to anyone. I think if you're buying used, as long as you get a full Lexus service history, you cannot go far wrong.

Welcome to the club brianb I'm a new member my self and found it most helpful.

I am the owner of a 2000 GS300 sport and the only problem I can find is I don't get

50 miles to the gallon, but that's a small price to pay for a spaceship.
