Polymorph!

Just bought some of this stuff today - polymorph-

to finish my carputer install, and thought i'd share as

its seems ideal for a number of things aroound the car,

as long as you have an inventive streak. Not actually

used it yet, but my mate said its really good.

Does exactly what it says on the tin!

that sounds perfect for what i need... was looking at the rigid liquid plastic Paul (fargo) had for his screen install, but they don't sell that anymore... sounds like this could be the stuff i need... :)

one question, it says re-usable when melted in water.... what about in-car heat temperature through the summer, my car gets REALLY HOT!

From the FAQ:-

Q) what tempreture at which it becomes a liquid? for casting or other pouring aplications - Peter Fawdon

A) it becomes mouldable at 62 deg cent - this is the only information we have

Q) CAn it be made to harden permanantley ? - Simon

A) yes - once it has cured it is hard

Q) if i were to form a holder of some sort from this material and the holder was to be warmed again at a later date would the material become malable again or does it temper once used? - brent

A) the material cures once only - immersion in hot water or other exposure to heat will not make it malleable agian.
