dont really understand your question here. Are you saying parked with the engine off? or on?

if u r talkin about engine off, there is no harm, you wont be able to start the engine tho because it is programs to prevent this. You will need to shift it back to park before u twist the key.

If engine on, still shouldnt have much damage, other than a very tired leg on the brake.

I left the Aristo in Drive the other day when I parked it, no problems getting the key out of that bugger - took me a minute to figure out why it wouldn't start - never had an automatic before but absolutely loving it - don't know if I'd ever go back to a manual after this, it's just so relaxing!

is the automatic gearstick on a is200 removable?
I think you are going to have to elaborate on your posts .............. ??

What do you mean by removable ?

As in, change the gear stick head ?

Convert the Auto into a manual ??

Erm.....

If you want to remove the gear shifter knob just grab hold and turn anticlockwise and it will come off!!

And for your next question - here's an example:

Yeah the gear knob on the IS just unscrews off (try it yourself :winky: )

If the lock works by simply clamping under the knob, then yes I can't see how that would work.....

I had an IS200 automatic when they first came out. On the first day I drove into a supermarket car park, turned the key to off a bit fast while pulling it out and the key came out.

When I got back in the car it would not start, until after about 20 minutes cursing and swearing I realised the car was in drive. So yes it is possible to remove the key (at least in an IS200) while the car is in drive. :duh:
