White Semi-circles On Boot

OK you'll think I'm wierd...ok wierder than you do already... but if your IS200 is covered in wet salty muck from the recent weather and you drive it for a while then when you stop look at the edge of the boot in the middle either side of the lock and you'll see too white salty semi-circles. :blink: It only works in the dark. :ph34r: I've spotted it twice now. Leave the car a while and they disappear. :alien:

I figure it's the heat from the number plate bulbs drying out the wet salty solution. Once they cool the semi-circles go.

I did think of photographing the circles to prove my sanity but I think it's a lost cause anyway. Besides I've just washed the car so no more x-files stuff...

Not wanting to be thrown in the looney bin with you but I too have seen the white circles on my boot - weird !! And I have a witness too !!

Apparently, Lexus released a tech note about it ..

You can get it mended under warranty :alien:
