Hi and Welcome to the LOC :)

Does the vibration happen straight away when you first drive the car after its been left overnight? or

The longer/further and faster speed you drive the car the worst the vibration gets over time?

To me if sounds like a sticky drivers side brake caliper is the main problem, but because its been semi seized its warmed the disc giving the vibration. The disc might also be cracked from overheating.

Chips.

I agree, reads like a caliper/slider sticking!

Hi,

The smell if its a sticky caliper will be the brake pads overheating because its stuck against the disc.

Ask a friend or anyone who you work with about a garage that you can trust to do the job right. If theyve been ripped off they will also tell you where not to go ;)

So if its a sticky caliper what do they usually do , change the calipers or jst the brake pads , any idea about that and yeah is it an expensive job ::P
