Is200 Nav Dvd Upgrade

hi, just got a 2003 is200 navigator and was looking at the best way of upgrading the nav system dvd to a newer date.

i have been told that the dvd is generic across the range of both lexus and toyotas, is this true?

the lexus garage said it would be approximately £350 to get the dvd from them, don't really want to spend anything like that figure, especially as i have a road angel navigator 6000 sat there doing nothing since i got the lexus.

would prefer to have the lexus updated as it is a better system, but it is 3 years out of date.

i have seen a dvd on eBay, an original 2006 dvd for the rx/gs models. would this work? or one of the old posts on here i think from 2004 says that the one from a toyota avensis would work, but i can't find one.

any help would be appreciated with this
