Safety Clasps

Just recieved my set of Lexus car mats, along with the safety clasps for them.........

.......but there doesn't appear to be any holes in the carpet to fix them to

Anyone shed some light on this?

Cheers,

Rob

On my 2002 IS, only the driver's side mat hooks down - there's a plastic hook attached to the floor, and the mat has a small hole in it, through which you place the hook to hold the mat in place.

What exactly do you mean by clasps? And are they official Lexus mats?

hi rob,

the clasp or clip should go into a hole in the floor carpet, earlier models only had 1 hole, later models have 2 holes to prevent the mat sliding to the RH side.

I only have one, it's not even that great lol... but it's not the biggest problem in the world to be fair..

ok, will have a better look later.......i only fumbled around in the bloody rain this morning looking (light wasn't too great either).....just thought it'd be really obvious, but couldn't see anything :duh:

might just get some press studs and fix them to the carpet/mats anyway......don't want that mat jamming the accelerator :o ;)
