hi there folks, just wandering how hard it would be to fit the tein coilovers on my is200, is it recomemded that i get a garage to do this? spoke to one tuning garage todday and they refuse to fit them as i didn't buy from them which i was shocked at, wouldv'e thought they would love to tae my money from me but oh well. it then struck me, is this a job which a few people with various amounts skill with cars can do in an evening? only ever had to fit suspension to a saxo and im guessing this is a very different mater lol.

cool, going to order the EDFC as well i think, anyone fitted this before? and where would be the best place to mount the unit, providing there is plenty cable etc. is it easy enough to get wires through from the outside into the cabin?

Hi,

I ended up fitting the EDFC myself, the garage did conect the plugs into the top of the shock but ran out of time,so i did the rest of the work.

Im told you HAVE to be Very Careful with pluging them in so nothing is damaged.I think the shocks have tobe turned to the stiffish setting before you plug the electrics into them.

Just make sure you have loads of time to fit the EDFC it can be a pain getting some of the wires/plugs through the bulkhead gommets and through the rear of the boot section.

Also make sure you have a good connection/power supply to the main gizzmo box.

I found to have enough cable going to the rears i had to run each cable down each side of the car from each shock :winky:

I used the sticky pads that came with the box set to fix the control unit to the dash.

Hope thats of some help.

Chips.
