Showing The Audio Screen On The Navi Lcd Screen

On my RX400 the Navigation/LCD Display was not showing the Energy Management Display Screen once when I started the car. The Lexus Service technician told me that the LCD unit had to be replaced. And when it was replaced everything was normal again.

But with this defect (not showing the energy management screen) the LCD screen showed the Audio Screen Information every time something changed (when you changed the volume or when you changed CD tracks) for about 3 seconds in a window on the LCD like you will see if you switch of the Air-condition.

Question is now can this function be turned on somewhere?
