Greetings Peeps of LOC.

Maneesh recommended Westfield Motors of Rayleigh, Essex as being a good reputable company for Toyota and Lexus Specialists.

I'm due my 60K service, and Lexus Woodford are quoting just over £600! :o

I rang Westfield, and said I had an IS300 and there first answer was "You mean GS300?" I said no, it's the IS300.

Then he asked me if it was manual or automatic ?? For someone who is a Lexus specialist, I would have thought that they would know the IS300's are all Autos, well unless of course I was from the states.

The long and short is, they said that the full service would cost me no more than £250, with the rubber stamp and courtesy car.

Has anyone used them before ? can they recommend or disrecommend them ?

Cheers.

Hi Scarface, i'm due for my 60k service on my 200 about now and plugs and cambelt etc, got in contact with Westfield and they didn't seem to interested in the business more like i was hassling them, i also contacted JEM who are based in Hendon who seemed to be more in the know and more black and white on prices.

Checkout the link to the JEM website, i believe someone on here uses them but can't remember who now.

Let us know what you decide and how it goes.

I personally don't like the fact that they hadn't heard of the car, and then didn't know whether it was a manual or auto...... ;)

Is that just the service that costs £600 at Woodford? Does something major get replaced at 60k?

Interesting feedback.

Yes, JEM are good too, but prices are higher than Westfield too, still cheaper than Lexus though.

Hi guys i have been dealing with these guys Ian and Chris at Westleigh Motors for years.

These guys are a credit to the motor trade.

They will never charge you for parts you dont need, they have always used high quality oil and geniune parts.

They have the odd Lexus for sale and can do gas conversion and air con recharge.

All i can say is give these guys a chance and i can not see you being dissapointed.

These guys service both of my Lexus, i dont put my cars in any old place.

If you need any further information call me on 07722444990

Ian

Thats good to know someone can vouch for them, well it will depend on price between them and Jem Motors for me.

Don't know about Scarface?

Rich you can get a hire car from the guys for very little money if this helps you.

You do need to allow a couple of weeks to book as these guys are always very busy

Good luck

Ian

Kinda agree... As they may not service the car according to its service manual...

The hightest cost of the 6 year/60k service is labour - 3 and a half hours... which at Lexus rates can be £110 + VAT per hour. Next are Spark plugs 55.86+vat and Engine Oil 41.79+vat (prices quoted as of this week from Lexus Croydon).

Don't know about Scarface?

From my recollection of using both this year, JEM were charging 70+VAT an hour, and Westfield something like 39+VAT an hour.

Westfield motors- really good service. They charging £40+vat per hour. It's necessary to book in advance. I waited for 2 weeks. They got courtesy cars (Toyota Carina, etc); charging £4/day.

They changed for my Aristo timing belt, tensionier, engine oil (my parts), and gearbox oil. I got courtesy car as well. I paid £180. My mind it's a good price.

Happy about the service :)
