Crash Test Is300 Vs Is250

Recommended Posts

Starting to think about what I’ll replace my IS300; have to start somewhere so thought I’d compare the new IS just in case Lexus ever released it in the UK with a proper engine.

Here are the crash test stats:-

2002 -05 IS300

...the dummy's head hit the A post on the new IS at recoil. I have always thought it's too close!

I wonder how NCAP will read this - I am assuming this is the data that NCAP will use for their assessment...though sometimes they do their own.

They have done separate tests . All Euro NCAP test results are done by them (specifications are slightly different)

I'd rather hit the a pillar in the new one than the (stiffer) B pillar in my old one however.

either way it is nothing to worry about!
