1973 Ford Cortina 1600 GXL - fibreglass wings with panel gaps you could get your fist in. Still the best manual gearchange I've ever had.

1980 Vauxhall Cavalier 2000 GLS Auto - my first automatic. Great car, wonderfully easy to spin the back wheels.

1984 Ford Escort 1.3L Estate - company car. Slow, noisy, hard ride, so one word - horrible.

1989 Ford Escort 1.4L - company car. My only brand new car so far, but two words - more horrible.

1972 Triumph 2.5Pi (with TC engine) - this one disappointed me as I always wanted one. Slower and harsher than I was expecting.

1988 Vauxhall Cavalier 1.8L - company car. Not bad, fairly powerful but not as good as my Mk1.

1980 Talbot Sunbeam - crunchy gearbox and wheel nearly fell off, but otherwise ok.

1983 Volvo 340GL Auto - one of those elastic band variomatic things. The heater stayed on constantly and the big ends went. Horrible car.

1981 Volkswagen Jetta 1.3C - bright yellow. A simple no nonsense car.

1988 Ford Sierra Sapphire 1.8GL - I liked this car, fairly smooth and quiet, but no power steering. Hard work!

1990 Toyota Camry 2.0 GLi Executive Auto Estate - nice quiet comfortable car that wallowed down the road. Written off in the end.

1993 Rover 218SLD Turbo - my first diesel! Ok but noisy and rattly.

1992 Toyota Carina 1.6 GLi Auto - a good reliable car, but dull.

1999 Peugeot 406 GTX Auto Estate - I really like this car but it's gearbox was dodgy. I spent a lot of money trying to sort it out and it still didn't feel right, so it went.

1993 Fiat Tipo 1.6SX - a cheap car to keep me motoring whilst the Peugeot was being repaired. Not as bad as I thought it would be.

2003 Vauxhall Signum 2.2 Elegance Auto - I liked the look of this car, especially with a Holden grill on the front, but I just never got comfortable in it.

2000 Lexus LS400 - Great presence, supremely quiet engine and I love the smoooooth power. I'm disappointed with the ride but I'm going to get some more checks done on the suspension.

I've also had as rentals:

Various Vauxhall Astras

Various Ford Focus's

Vauxhall Omega

Saab 9-5

Honda CRV

Kia Picanto

Ford Fiesta

Mercedes C180

Ford Mondeo

Fiat Uno

Volkswagen Passat

Volvo V40

Fiat Brava

Fiat Tipo

KEITH.
