Recommended Posts

this is every thing you need to do it

works on IS200 S (dunno bout other models)

need

toyota iso connector (PC2-17-4) (IS200 S only far as i no)

http://thebassbin.co.uk/shop/product/products_id/610.html

facia

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/p...ts_id/3476.html

take whole of top part off by pulling it towards you (air duct thing)

and pull the panal with the traction control and snow button towards you they will both just pull out (no screws)

then undo the four 10mm bolts holding the cd player and heater controls in 2 at top and 2 at bottom (cnt miss em)

once you have taking tht out you need to build the facia unit up (this includes the new mounts and the actual heater unit fits into this

once thts built install tht and put traction control panal back and top air vent thing bk

JOB DONE

works a treat :)

ta for the info but the radio removal guide is already on the site and includes photos and the harness will only work with the base S model as it does not have an amp so is the easiest model to replce the radio unit on. Good news for those that have the S model!

I think someone shud do a guide for the Sport version, so I have something to look at this weekend before I make a mess of it :(

This what i posted on another topic earlier: It's everything i used to change all my speakers and headunit because my local Car stereo place wanted £160 at least to do it.

It really isn't that hard of a job if i'm honest, i researched on is300.net and got guides to taking seats out etc and it honestly took me around 3-4 hours to fit new rear speakers, run phono and amp ing leads down the centre tunnel, and run a amp power cable from the engine bay, down the passenger side and through to the boot, fit a the new head unit and wire it up. the next day it took me an hour and a half to change the door speakers and run new speaker cable from the speakers into the car and down to the boot to the amp.

I did spend around a week researching it on is300.net and here but all the informations there. the only specialist tools were a wire coat hanger so i could find a path from the engine to the passenger foot well.

Here are some links from this website:

Replacing 6*9's

Changing door speakers

Removing centre console (to run cables to radio)

Removing Radio

Honestly though these instrutions and a set of wiring diagrams i found on is300.net it really wasnt so hard

Wiring diagrams off is300.net

Other useful audio posts off is300.net - Esp read the one on why standard speakers won't work with aftermarket headunits!

Hope this helps

Stav

{edited: wiring diagrams from is300.net added}
