just seen on the news that richard hammond is in hospital, he was meant to have crashed during filming and at a speed of about 280mph!

they were filming in a 'jet car' by all accounts :o

I cant believe the BBC actually allows a presenter of one of their best shows to test a vehicle with so much power?

Apparently he had already broken the Speed record but was just doing some extra filming for the show when the tragedy happened.

Richard is one of the best things to happen to Top Gear in a long time. He brings some charisma to the show.

Yeah it's an old one from a few years ago when a few of us went down to watch Top Gear at the studio - for anyone interested we've got from left to right:

Zee, Andy Hart, Whitie, Ifraz, Dave Ellen (kneeling), Johnny Boy, Billy Bandit, not sure, Richard Hammond himself and then Billy Bandits dad!

Quite a few aren't around any more!

It was a great day, we met all the presenters, and just wanted to make Mr Hammond feel a bit bigger which is why the folks were kneeling :D
