I've had a company card for a few years now, When I was given it i asked the question does it effect your credit scoring in anyway and I was told no its completley down to the card bill payer etc ie My work place it won't even appear under my name as its the responsibility of the provider

I was recently turned down for credit which i was a bit supprised at so i ordered my credit report/scoring from equifax and on there it shows the limit outstanding/balance of my company card etc????????

Its never lightley that the bill won't ever not be paid because i work for local goverment but what if they mistakingly forgot to pay i'm the one who's gonna have the bad credit scoring etc.

I'm starting to wonder if i'm being turned down for credit as i have a card in my name with quite a large credit limit?

Can anyone shed any light on this?

A bit strange, with a debit card the full amount is taken from the card holders (being the company) account every month. Its not a credit card, where you get a choice to pay the minimum or more.

Maybe the govt retracted a payment for something that was in dispute, and the vendor has black listed you - did the statement come to your house or the govt address ?

Contact the govt dept and get them to look into it, and ask who ever advised you of the problem to advise "who" has not been paid - then contact them.

I think if you are black listed you will have to ask who ever has black listed you to remove you, but obvioulsy they will only do that if they get paid. And I do no think they have to.

Sorry cant be much more help.
