Went along to Brands today to see the BTCC.

Was looking forward to seeing the IS200's up against the Euro boxes but seems the Euro boxes won hands down and there was no competition.

Seat, Vauxhall and MG Rover were so dominent and the only Japanese manufacturer that offerred any real opposition was Honda. OK so I have been out of the scene for a while, the days of Audi and BMW seem clearly over.

The Clio sport competition was great fun and very entertaining, a bit like watching mini coopers in the old days.

Some good racing though and worth every penny!!

Lots of car clubs were there too, maybe LOC should have a meet one weekend when there is a varied programme of racing.

Hi. I was there too with my eldest daughter. We were at the top of the permanent stand.

A three wheeled lexus and one stuck in the gravel along with them being pretty low down the field wasn't exactly a good result. I guess any make struggles without lots of funding and experience though. My daughter's still a lexus fan though. She got all the lexus driver's autographs.

The classic racing was the best. The mini that kept loosing the back end was hilarious and the battle between that american car and the mg was cool.

Shame I didn't know you were coming or we could have met up. Lifes been a bit too busy for posting on the site or I might have remembered to ask who was going.

Shame that.

I go quite regularly cos I often get complimentary tickets and I live close by.

I may get tickets for next weekend for the superbikes.

Hi,

I watched the races on tv,there really is some great racing on BTCC.

Its a shame the FWD cars are the class of the field,i think its more down to the size of the cars.

From what ive read FWD cars are better handling in small and medium size chassises then RWD is the way to go for larger size cars if your powering just 2 wheels.

I remember how good the 4X4 Audi`s were in the BTCC afew years ago.
