Battery Problems

Hi

I have just bought the car and fitted an alpine HU with Infinity 6x9, Fusion FP1001 3400W amp, and a 2 x westcoast subs. I now have a problem with when ever i pull up to traffic lights the Battery light comes on and the Battery voltage goes down to about 9V.

Can anyone help with what to do?

A 3400 Watt amp :duh:

That will draw nearly 300 amps at at 12v on full power!

Fusion don't sell those in Halfords... maybe you read the power reading which is meant to fool you into thinking its 3.4kw...

Maybe 340w... but still, make sure your power wire is sufficent and the stock Battery will NOT cope with the extra demand your amp will take, there just about enough to power a standard car!

Well you wont find this amp in the shops because there was only limited numbers of them avaliable.

What does everyone think of Optima Yellow top batteries, are they any good?
