:D Hello everyone

I have recently joined lexus owners club, which is fantastic.

I own a Astral black is200se. Untill very recently I have had the car as standard......until now!

I've owned my is200se for nearly a year now and have decided to smarten it up a bit.

I recently had some paint scratches etc repaired re spayed (£120), and refurbed the standard 17" alloys (£235).

I have decided to keep this car longer than I first planned, so decided on a few small mod's:

Eibach pro springs (-30mm drop) - fitted yesterday!

Painting break calipers red tomorrow. (gonna order the decals in a minute!)

I really really want to get my hands on a super charger second hand as I can't quite afford one new, also a induction kit and aswell and maybe a exhaust.

Anyone got any of this items for sale now / soon, as I Rang a-plan who i am currently insured to markerstudy with and they have said my insurance renewal (due december) would only be £640 with s/c, induction kit. Ths is pretty good as this years was £700, i'm 24 with 3 years NCB and 3 years of driving.

Please reply to this post or PM me. Photo's to follow of my car. Thinking of doing a caliper / hub guide with pictures, would this be used?

Anyway going to the pub in a mintue.

Later AMcT

Hi mate and welcome. Indeed modding is very very addictive (just check out my garage) :o

There is already a caliper painting step by step, pictorial how to done on here by Mr Morse. Actually I think there are a few on here

Goodluck with the hunt for a supercharger. They are a great mod and loads of fun :winky:

Got 'work' tommorow, so should have been working but weekends are dead as a door nail!

Tried to view the caliper guide but pics aint showing so think i'll do the guide anyway - Even if i don't post it

Looking forward getting stuck in, with me foam knee pads! (always thinking)

Make sure if your only using the standard car jack that you use some axel stands too, just to be safe. make sure you give them a good sanding before youstart painting. I gave mine 2 coats, gives it a better quality finish than just one coat did.

We have a hydralic lift in work that lifts cars on the four jack points so the 4 wheels came off at once. :P

Did the prep work, cleaner - wipe with towel - wirebrush - wipe - emery paper - paint - wait 20mins - paint 2nd coat, dry 30+ hours in hanger. So should be good by 1800 tomorrow when I finish work. I also sprayed the rear hubs with engine bay heat paint (black) to really contrast the red! Just got to put the decals on next week then lacquar = Job done.

It looks sweet now! should be even better when dry. I'll post some pics.

Cheers for the advice tho!

AMcT ;)
