Hi all, I'm getting a lexus IS200 in january but was a bit disaapointed in hearing the performance stats.

Still i thought at least i'll look good going a bit slower. I have been made aware by reading some posts that there is a supercharger kit and a turbo kit for the car.

How much would it be to get one of these fitted? Would it be better to try and buy one that has already had this work done?

Also as i'm 21 any ideas of which insurance company's are the best to try thank you.

If you can pick up a second hand TTE supercharger kit you'll be looking at around £2K fitted

Ask insurance first though mate. As your only 21 some might not insure you or charge you LOADS.. Try A -plan, Adrian Flux etc

If you can get the insurance the IS300 would be a better bet,better performance for around the same mpg.

Starting to try and get some insurance quotes will see what thet come out at. Thankyou for all the help. If anyone is selling a a supercharged IS200 in the new year i'd be interested in hearing about it thankyou.

Im sure Kaz would be happy to take you out, I work with him and he's off this week and next so you might be able to see him easier this week and next.

he is a tight fisted G@t by the way so he may ask for petrol money, just watch the moths when he opens his walett, thier quite vicious!
