Hello every one. As i said this is my first post on what seems to be a very helpfull and friendly forum.

I was just wondering about th eperformance of the is200 compared to my current car (EP3 civic type-r)

as im looking for something similar now i am aware that the standard performance is some what lower however as i like to ad my own touch to my vehicles i like most of you like to mod my cars. Now i was just wondering what kind of performance you can make from an is200 and for what kind of cost

To be honest mate you'd be best off going for an Altezza RS200 rather than the IS, it looks exactly the same, but has an extra 50bhp as standard compared to the IS200, and it's cheaper to modify to get higher performance - 3-4 grand on an IS200 would get your around 220bhp, think the turbo kits are more than that on the IS and they give you around 240-250bhp, as for the Altezza, 3-4 grand would get you up to around 270-280bhp and the power delivery will be much more like what you're used to with the Type-R!

Another option would be to get an IS300, there are a couple for sale on here, performance wise I think you're looking at around 8 second 0-60, not sure, but they can be modified higher and they're a bit more torquey than the IS and Altezza which is always good :)
