Okie dokie, my name is Jamie and I'm currently a Ford Focus owner (sorry :D )

The time has finally arrived to purchase an IS200. I find it typical though, when this time has finally arrived, the spec of IS has now evaporated - typical.

I'm from oop North and have been a "lurker" on here for some time now. Always fancied popping along a an event that you attend but thought it best to wait. I can't wait any longer though so I hope a model turns up soon.

A guide to what I'm after is:

• Lexus IS200 SE
  
• Manual
  
• Astral Black (as a first choice - but open to grey and blue)
  
• Oakham Interior
  
• Upto 75/80k Miles
  
• ......preferably a good history!
  

Anyway, I hope to meet the members soon and branch off into Japanese territory!

A member called Fidgits (Ian) had a blue IS200 SE for sale in immaculate condition, may be worht having a chat with him to see if he ever sold it?

That thing had one of the most comprehensive histories I've ever seen and also all the paperwork to go with it!

Good luck finding what you're after - also a member called TheDon was selling a supercharged Astral Black one that is also immaculate if that takes your fancy?

Well thanks for the greetings everyone. Have been looking at a blue SE today - absolutely stunning. On a 2001 plate (so its the facelift - iiac? the modified cd/cassette rotation?) and has the dark black/blue interior - looks spot on tbh.

They are asking £7490 for it and has all Lexus stamps flsh.

What are peoples' opinions of this? Do you think it looks OK? I know a car can't just be bought on its looks and was wondering if there is anyone in the North West area that would maybe able to give me a hand in checking this out for faults and such? Any tips as well?

btw ... it's not full Leather, but half covered... actually looks very nice

but why in this day and age do dealers put " rear head rests" in the advert? also ALL IS200 came with body coloured bumpers..... :duh:

I know, makes me smile that .

This one has the darker rear lights, as opposed to the chrome rears. What defines this on a Lexus - why do some models come with these and others don't? I know they're only lights but it's a little bonus, as I was going to source some afterwards (JDM).
