I was driving my Lexus IS200 normally and a light lit up on the dash which refers to the engine management system.

After reading through the manual the problems that can arise are lower speed levels but there is no problem with the car.

This light is doing my head in, Im sure it has been triggered some how as there is no problem with the drive of the car.

I have tried to check the fuses and reset the dash but was not successful, is there anybody out there that can help me as i am really badly out of options???????

Best thing to do is to take it to a garage or Lexus and get them to plug an ODB2 (or whatever it is) in. Then it'll be able to read the fault code and you'll find the problem. The engine management light shouldn't come on unless you've got a fault somewhere.. or if you've had the catalytic converter removed

You can reset the ECU and this should clear the warning light but as I said above it shouldn't just come on by itself so best to get it checked for piece of mind.

How many times you posting this :blink:

i think the imyruff may be enquiring if it is possible to pull the fault codes, like on the altezza using the 'shorting-out-pins-and-flashing-ignition-lights' method. I myself do not know if this can be done on the is200
