I also have a problem with my sat nav. I have a 1999 is200, the sat nav turns on and then says

PLEASE OPEN THE DOOR

PLEASE CHECK THE CD ROM

can anyone help.

When i had a look at fitchett87's sat nav a few weeks ago i just took the disc out of the unit cleaned it and put it back in to reboot and he said the last time i saw him it was working fine so might be worth a try? I got an updated disc for mine on e-bay which updated my system and made it a lot quicker than it was?

Could you borrow a copy of a newer sat nav disc to see if it updates your system???

May be off topic, but i had a recent problem with the new sat nav on the GS and it kept showing me going across fileds etc half way through journeys ( and no it wasn't a new road not on the disk) it kept going off at about 45 degress to the left of which ever direction i was going. i assumed it was the aerial but Lexus changed the hard disk unit in the boot and it has been fine ever since.

Just thought of something else have any of you guys tried the setup/calibration system on the sat nav itself as when i first had mine it was miles out and always telling me to turn right/left after where i was suposed to turn right/left so always ended up going round in circles? just a thought and maybe worth a try? :)
