Standard Tyre Sizes On 1999 Is200 Sport

I recently picked up an IS200 Sport, 1999. It is fitted with 17" Lexus alloy wheels. I don't have any manual with the car, and I'm not certain the previous owner had the correct size tyres fitted. It is fitted with 4 odd tyres (different brands), all with various amounts of tread. I want to replace them all to sort the car out a bit.

Can anyone advise what SHOULD be on there, both front and rear?

The tyre size on the 17s is 215/45/17 all round.

Don't have picture.I was looking for is200 to buy and saw one with 215/45,didn't look so sporty.The tyres were too thin.225/45 will fit on the oem wheels.

My car currently have 215/45/17 on the rear, 205/40/17 on the front. Strange that someone would change it.

Its also a shame that the only one worth keeping is a Kumho Ecsta on the front, which based on your comments is the wrong size!

There is no issue with the tyres rubbing at full steering lock with 225's fitted?

HAven't fit 225 on my yet,but it should fit good.Anybody help?
