Boot Lid Opener - Not The Usual Problem, Though...

Recommended Posts

Hello guys!

I have a somewhat unusual problem with my -95 LS 400.

The symptoms:

The remote switch does not make the boot lid open. (When I bought the car, it worked, but only for some months.) This is the case with both my fobs. The fobs are tested at Toyota, and they transmit all commandos; lock/unlock doors and boot lid.

The electrical locking device in the boot lid is also OK, and there are no problems if I use the

facia switch to to open the lid - it just opens.

I have searched this forum, and posted the question in the US forum, but so far - no results...

Could it be an ECU-problem? All help is appreciated.

I find it opens better if you are in front of the car. Try holding the rremote to your head when you push it, it amplifies the signal (no I'm not joking) You can increase the range by doing this. Saw it on Clarkson and have done it since.
