Boot Liner/dog Guard

Recommended Posts

Well, I've just bought myself a 2000 RX300SE, and I was wondering if any of you out there knew which are the best dog guards and boot liners on the market.

The car has a lovely cream interior but I doubt that it'll last long without some protection from my dog !

the best ones are the genuine Lexus ones. They appear on ebay now and again.

Agree the genuine manufacturer ones seem to be best - am looking on eBay myself - havn't spotted one yet (well there is one but I don't like the look of it and the price is a bit high IMHO). Might plump for one from a Dealer in time methinks.

I caved in and called Lexus MK. Boot liner for a RX300 MKII (Part # LPZ434-K2301-PJ) was quoted £69.99 (+VAT) and they had a couple of units in stock. Managed to negotiate them down to £65 (inc.) :)

Items seems of good quality (apparently made in Sweden?) and is of a comaprable quality to the BMW one I had. Obviosuly fits very well and being of a rigid plastic type amterial will be waterproof and easy to cleans (hose down).

Did you acquire a dog guard as well? If so how does it fit? I am in exactly the same boat having just bought a RX 350 SE-L and, though a "cheapo" guard I had previously will do short term , it isn't a great fit.

I just wonder how the Lexus guard fits, given the contour of the roof where there is a drop (LHS facing) presumably for the rear tail motor. This means roof is lower left side than right. As all guards I have ever seen run straight across, this means that either you have a large gap to roof, or cannot extend bars to left hand side.

Anyone advise?
