am i being thick or are there no speed limits on the isle of man?! :winky:

Only in built up areas :)

but you will be stopped if driving in a reckless manner.

Best time to vist Isle of Man is during the TT, it is an awesome experience and if you can get a pax ride with an experienced rider you'll have a blast :)

I wouldn't mind going Isle of Man, I may have to talk to my mate who is going there for the TT.

I sail over for the TT's every year and it's quite a journey (approx 13 hours).

The countryside is gorgeous on the Isle Of Man and the fact that the roads are relatively unrestricted is another temptation. Never been to Jersey though.

Jamie

Where are you sailing from Jammy? I thought any ferry would take less than 5 hours to the IOM. Your right about the TT races though, a drive round the track opens your eyes when you look at the average speed they get round in. I dont think a Lexus or any car is the ideal transport during TT week as it is a bikers week.

Hi matey, I sail from Fleetwood Marina - I sail over in the yacht, that's why it's slightly longer :) We usually make our way up to Creg Ny Ba - cracking vantage point and glorious when it's sunny!

Sorry Jamie, I should have realised you didn't take a ferry when you mentioned you sailed over. :duh:
