I am off tyre shopping on the weekend and just wonderd what peoples opinions are on different makes. I currently have 17 inch Bridgestone Potenza's fitted to my 2001 GS300. The geometry was adjusted at the last service in december but now my front tyres are shot. Is it worth sticking with the Bridgestone's or shall I get a pair of Michelin Piolot sports, what about Dunlop's? I'm not too worried about price, I just want what's best for my Lexus.

A heavily held topic in LOC..... Try a search on tyres and tyre wear, you will be surprised :o

My experience has LED me to believe that round black ones with a hole in the middle work.

I've tried a few brands, but as I only drive my old man tank to work and back, I really notice little difference between brands around town. The only thing I would advise is to use a matching pair on the front so the conicity is the same on each side and the car doesn't start to pull at speeds,

Hi

Thanks for your help with the tyres. I got a pair of Michelin piolot sports, 234/45/zr17's from costco in the end, worked out at £200 for the pair. Had a local tyre place fit them for £20. Now it seems alot more stable and doesn't seem to pull when you change lanes.
