Anyone Got A Full System In There Is?

Recommended Posts

Guys/Gals

Just after a bit of advice on where to go with my system, i have a nice JL audio set up ready for installing , but do not know which way to go.

I have a top Alpine head unit(my bro is using in his Supra at the mo) or i can buy a JL audio clean sweep which will allow me to retain the original headunit with the amps.

Arrrgggghhhhh my head hurts LOL

Anyone with system please help this confused Bull make up his mind

You can use the stock stereo and get these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Speaker-to-rca-ampli...1QQcmdZViewItem

They will enable you too get a sound input. Personally i would get a new headunit.

Im presuming you have an SE or Sport.

You will need:

Headunit, Sub, Amp, Wiring Kit, New rear speakers, fascia kit

You could also buy a special lead that some guy has made up, too connect the HU too the rest of the speakers... outrageously expensive IMHO but whatever floats your boat!

And then anything else you might want, power cap, crossovers, new front speakers etc.

I have a full system , 2x12" Subs, 2 x amps, front componenets , Alpine H/U , re-Wiring aint an issue :D.

The clean sweep allows you to keep the Stock H/U and then use Amps etc too.

The original H/U wires into the unit boosts the signal and your away, it has pre outs too

Don't waste all that nice gear by running the system from the stock HU. You won't have anywhere near the amount of sound quality or sound control that you would get from a half decent HU.

I would fit the alpine on all day long.

I am running the alpine 9855-r jobbie with the funky glide bar thing. Takes a bit of getting used to but the quality and control I get from the head unit is amazing.

I did have 2 diamond audio 12" subs but have now got 2 JL audio 15"subs which are a much better sub. Not easy fitting them in the limited boot space though.
