Seat Base Rear Not Moving

Recommended Posts

does the motor run but no movement from the seat back ?or is it dead ? my 91 had a problem with only one side working turned out to be a rod from the motor that was stripped at one end, could it possibly be the same thing perhaps ??

The seat back is fine. When I press the switch for moving the base of the seat up or down at the back nothing happens and there is no noise at all.

Hi,

The 12 volt supply and earths are common to all seat adjustments and these must be present as you have some adjustments working.

There is a 16 pin connector to the seat motors ( don't know exactly where but have a look under the seat).

pins 11 and 12 go to the motor which does the slide function.

Check the connections and also the connections to the switch which controls seat movement.

Another possibility is a mechanical problem which has jammed the motor movement.

Cheers,

Steve
