Electric Supercharger

I don't know, but I have found the idiots that sell these things www.electricchargers.com

NO DON'T GET ONE!!

is that a small hint?!

why not? I don't want one but what is wrong with them?

:D

Anyone who thinks coupling up an electric fan to their car Battery to boost the air intake charge is, in polite terms, a little gullible. That thing will cause more of a blockage in the intake system, even when it is powered up.

And when it eventually falls to pieces.... where do you think it's going to end up???? :crying:

Hehehe... that reminds me. Friend of a friend (no, really) works at a tuning garage. A pretty good one, their usual business is running cars in the BTCC, Porsche Cup, FIA GT Championships etc etc, but they also handle cars that come in off the street for a specific tuning job. One chav brought in a Honda Civic, to which he had fitted a fan inside the air intake - not to provide any extra boost, but simply to make a whining noise like a turbo or supercharger once the engine was spinning at a decent rpm. Obviously this was the latest cool gadget in Max Power or something.

Unsurprisingly, this piece of crap had fallen apart after a week or two, gone through the manifold and been crunched amongst the inlet valves. I think the job would be best classed as 'expensive'...
