I have a very annoying problem with the door sensor on the drivers door. When I unlock the car and open the door, the open door light does not appear on the dash and the doors lock them self's thinking that all the doors are closed. Does anybody know where I could get a new door sensor, also is it difficult to fit? Thanks Alan.

Hi,

It might just a case of cleaning and oiling the sensor.The door switches in my mk1 LS were sticky and i cleaned they up and they worked fine.It just a case of removing the rubber dirt protector and spraying some WD40 into the switch and it should work fine.
