What Tyre Sizes Can I Use?

OK folks I'm after some new tyres, I've currently got Maxxis 225/45/R18's, but I don't like them as they are crap!

What other sizes can I use on these alloys - they're TTE alloys which are 7.5 inches wide - the official TTE site says for use with 225/40 rubber.

What other sizes can I use on these then - ideally I'd like as wide as possible on these rims.

I'm looking to go down the Falken FK-452 route - I'm just confused from the site chart on their website!

Thanks in advance :)

Seems strange that the tyre width is only 225, on my GS they are 235 wide and I have about 100bhp less than you. Would have thought that wider tyres would have been in order

Yeah to be honest would be much better with wider tyres but even with these it seems to be putting the power down nicely which is a bonus! The extra torque does light up the tyres if I plant the throttle though from a standstill - get a short chirp before these launch whereas the old ones would just sit there spinning!

best width for 7.5 rims is 225mm but 215 and 235 will fit aswell

Cheers mate, I did end up with 225/40's in the end, quite happy with them too, they were what TTE recommended for use with the rims so they work for me!

Longer term fatter alloys are required though, I've got my eye on the UltraLite Nurburgring style ones, they look nice and they're wide too :)
