Fuses And Fusebox

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know where all the fuses are hidden away and which fuse protects what circuit?

I am confused by the owners manual, as they show one location behind the drivers-side pop-out pocket and two in the engine bay. I have found the set inside and one set in the engine bay (by the battery), but cannot see where the other is supposed to be.

Also, anyone decoded the cryptic labelling on the fuse covers that is meant to tell you what is what? Some are obvious, but others.....

Reason for asking is that I have a rear heated screen and a drivers-side door mirror heater not working

Thanks.

According to my manual this should be fuse No.41(20 amp)Which is located in the inside of the car

4th row along to the right and 4 rows down (Rear window & outside rear view mirror defogger)

Thank you - I will check this out tonight.

Do you also know what the 'Trailer' fuse is meant to do? I have installed a Lexus-supplied tow-bar and electrics package (pretty straightforward) but have now spotted this Fuse location (no fuse in it), when looking for the problem with my rear screen. It was not mentioned at all in the install instructions.

Lexus do not see fit to put any useful fuse information in the owners guidebook.

Is there an online reference anywhere which lists out all of the fuses, their location and their purpose?

Or, is there a workshop manual I can get hold of with this information in, amongst other really useful stuff.

Thank you again.

=== Checked the fuse you indicated - it looks intact. The heated mirror on the passenger side heats up OK but not the drivers and the rear screen. Even with the fuse removed, the switch for the rear screen and mirrors on the dash lights up and I can hear a click (probably the relay). I thought the switch would be out with the fuse out - time to think again?

Hi I have just replied to the same question in my posting re Trailer electrics. No there is no fuse in the Trailer fuse slot!
