What is the cost of IS200 first service and what does it entail?

I can't remember, but they're fairly cheap. None of my services have cost over £200 I don't think, but I could be wrong, the company pays, so I don't really pay that much attention ;)

I aked my dealer when I got the car and they said "Oh about a hundred quid"

I'll find out for sure in about 3 weeks though!

I get that is just for an interim.. full service costs about £250 +

then you have parts on top of that price!

Yeah, it's for a first (interim) service which is just a change of oil/filter and a look over AFAIK.

10,000 mile : oil,oil filter,blow out air filter,and a general check over.............thats it

My services so far:

10,000 = £119

20,000 = £213

30,000 = £279 (inc front pads)

There isn't much competition up here in the north-east, so I think we get ripped off a touch.

Yes Lexicon thats what my dealer said it would be round-about. I wonder if the mechinics get bored sitting around with nothing to do, as the cars are so reliable. A bit like the Heinaken Complaints Dept advert.

I'm from Durham, and get the car serviced at Lexus Newcastle, who apart from the prices, are normally very good.

First Service done yesterday;

£99.65 which is actually less than they quoted when I left the car with them!

About half of that was materials (oil, filter and gasket).

Not too bad, I thought.

i had my 10,000 mile service last week for £89.63

Lexus Hampshire (actually its Marshall Rolfe Toyota/Lexus) in Southampton.

and they did it in 1 hour while i waited :)

I was told it would take 1.5 hours (including cleaning the car). When I rang it seems is if they have a new service manager. Maybe he thinks I drive an LS430!

That does seem a bit steep for just a service - mine's a manual but I don't think that would make a difference as they do sod all for the first service anyhow.

Lexus Leeds quoted me £102 when I dropped it off and charged me £99.65 when I picked it up.

i had an interdemiate ( 30k) service the other day and that was $111, but i had an air filter as well £16 +vat, but you can take your own oil and filter and get them to use that so if ur cost wise it will save you a bit.

My 40K service was £787. is that typical? Seemed very steep to me but included coolent and brake fluid change and new front discs and pads but not much else.

new discs at 40k seems a bit ? you could have put uprated grooved with ebc greenstuff for £250

I checked the invoice, it was £239.06 for parts (oil, filter, plug, air filter, wiper blades, pollen filter, coolent and brake fluid, front discs which were £108 and pads £55), labour £405 and VAT came to £787. Is this more than other people have had to pay for their 40K service?
