Does the sport have arm rests????or do you mean the padded lid of the center compartment

Not sure Lexus did a an Auto Sport, dont think they did.

You can buy the centre arm rest kits but they very expensive for what they are.

hmmm.. i guess it is a padded centre console!!

its a manual sport.. didnt like the idea of another auto but had sacrifice the cruise control!

so the auto has a proper centre arm rest then?? any idea where a second hand one could be sourced?

They are all leather centre arm rests, but I guess swithout going for a brand new'en, eBay is your best bet mate for a second hand one.

Have to admit the one in the IS was too low for me, the one in the Aristo is slightly higher which suits me better, like Gord says, never really missed it in my old IS, but now I know what I'm missing if I don't have one :D

Not got around to fitting mine so sold it to one of the lads on here :)

I have one and must admit its SOOOO much better than before!

I guess if i ever sell my LEX it will end up on here :)

I found a small flat screwdriver made this bit (BELOW) a lot easier.

"These nasty little tabs (one either side) were the hardest bit for me. The easiest way I found to release them was to reach inside the console and pull them in towards the centre of the console and pull the console back at the same time. It did take quite a bit of effort though."

Also not quite so easy if you have sat nav :)

I got my little cousin to reach down inside and unclip it whilst I pulled from the outside :)

does anyone know the part number for this?

Part Numbers!

You have the arm rest

The cage it sits on

The Plug for the Magnet catch

There is a pic of the whole assembly around somewhere in the forums......

The Arm rest is only optional even on an auto, mines auto and I agree its far too low, i've been looking out for one for a while, with no luck

Hi

Unless im missing out on something.... I rang Lexus Tunbridge Wells and enquired about an arm rest for my IS200 SE Manual 03 plate and was told that it can't be fitted....because all the center console is different....??

I am confused.....can it be done or not? You very clever people on here say it can but the people who make the car say it can't. Who to believe? If people are saying it can be done then why do Lexus say it can't?

Regards

Gary

Yes it can and HAS been done by a few of us....very easy to do. Mine was a little more awkward due to my sat nav remote cabling, but still a pretty easy fit.

Hardest thing was getting the bits.
