New Head Unit And Original Sat Nav

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I picking up my IS200 next saturday and want to be prepared to install my Stereo System.

I will be putting in a kenwood head unit, 1 x amps for front, 1 x amp for sub, and replacing all stock speakers.

i will also be installing a hands free kit.

Will the sat nav still work and does it have its own speaker?

If not are there any mods out there for this.

Im pretty good at setting up car installs and have decent electrics knowledge and just from what i have seen so far it looks like its going to be a b**ch!!

any help?

If you look through the knowledge section and the audio section its all been covered lots of times.

The sat nav doesn't have it's own speakers but you can get a connector from a member called Fargo that will keep it working with an aftermarket stereo.

From what i've heard it'll be harder to convert it to a DVD screen. A lot easier to PM Fargo and buy one of his little boxes, wouldn't of thought it would be too hard to wire up a speaker under the seat just for SatNav.
