Double Din Screen - Gs300 1999 Mk-ii

Dear Members,

I am intending to install a double din touch screen into my GS300 1999 MK-II. I know how to remove dash / original stereo but I don’t know how to connect existing speaker to the new Double Din Screen / DVD / MP3?

Anyone done it before?

have you got an amplifier in the boot on the right hand side also which gs300 do you have the uk spec or import.

I couldn’t find any amp, my car is GS300 MK-II UK specs.

Hello, I have bypassed my amp in boot and fitted touch screen DVD player etc.

My car came with the JBL system in.

The wires in mine were as follows:-

Cables from JBL Amp to Speakers.

Rear Left - Speaker = Black with silver double rings.

Rear Left + Speaker = Yellow with silver double rings.

Middle Front - Speaker = Green with white strip.

middle Front + Speaker = Brown with white strip.

Rear Right + Speaker = Red with silver double rings.

Rear Right - Speaker = White with silver double rings.

Front Right + Speaker = Blue with silver double rings.

Front Right - Speaker = Green with silver double rings.

Front Left + Speaker = Purple with silver double rings.

Front Left - Speaker = Green with silver double rings.

6 pin plug - male with 4 wires behind main unit.

White with black strip & silver single ring = Earth -

Grey with silver single ring 12V+ on 1st click on ignition.

Green with double silver rings = Earth -

Blue with Yello strip & silver ring = 12v+ constant.

When I get my car back from Thor, (having rear brake upgrade and fuel pump)

I will take photos of cables etc, so you can get a better idea.

I have a list of the wires from the main unit aswell , just need to sort it out and I will post

will take photo of behind main unit aswell.
