245/35/18 Tyres

I will soon be replacing my tyres and was thinking would 245/35/18 still be ok to use or should I stick with 245/40/18 that are currently on there at the moment...

I was told it might put my speedo out by how much? and was advised not to do that..

I was going the with idea that my rears are 35 so why not stick on my 35's at the front aswell... is this a bad option to go with?

Mind you the 245/40/18 are cheaper to get hold of (which I guess is one incentive to stick with them) has anyone else done somthing simliar along this line.

That only thing thats different is the profile, not the width or diamater so i cant see how the speedo will be out.

Hi,

The speedo works off the gearbox so what ever profile tyre you fit to the front,shouldnt effect the speedo.
