Gaz Walker did some work on tyhis...........need shed loads of money.........from what i remember the speedo display needs replacing as it gets all its signals from the gearbox & engine ECU's which dont work without each other (so need replacing) a lot of other electrical stuff needs changing as well...this applied to mark 2 cars 1997-2005

Yeah that was my car previously. He doesn't know how the conversion was done as neither do I as the car came from Japan like it. I can tell you it had the stock aristo ECU in it which I replaced with a stock supra mk4 manual ecu. AFAIK the speedo unit is stock aristo on that car as well. Its a 95 plate so mk1. I am looking at going manual on my car again as the stock box doesn't go well with the AEM I chose as my engine controller.

for the swap you can do several different methods for fooling the ecu, one is to select neutral on the electronic shifter before hiding it away.

another is to give a perm neutral signal to the ecu.

it isnt quite as expensive as most originally thought it was, more a case of solving the electrickery first
