Cd Player Not Reading

My CD is rarely reading cds these days,

i have used discs of many varietys that i've compiled on my PC and i've tried real ones bought in HMV but theres only one or two discs that work (theyre both actually ones i'd made myself)

I tried one of those cleaning discs with the little brushes on but to no avail.

Is there another way of cleaning the lense?

yes mate,,,just says error

Pretty much knackered then mate.

If you look about theres a very recent topic where someone butchered theirs and fixed it with some ford focus stereo internals.

but your best bets are to get it repaired (£200), buy another (Also about £200)

If you'v got an S version buy an after market stereo and adaptor from your local Halfords or somewhere.

If you've got an SE or Sport then buy the lead off eBay and an after market stereo.

For both youll also need a fascia kit for the new stereo to fit.
