Quick Question

Just a quick question really, had a search but cant find answer.......

anyways... insurance in due for renewal soon and before from the lists online on insurers websites ive just selected standard factory alarm.

i was jus wondering with the lexus brand being a premium car, are the alarms fitted of a better type like thatcam (i think its called, im sure you know what i mean)?

anything to bring premiums down...

I was told just yesterday by Adrian Flux it was a Thatcham Cat 2 (they looked it up in the database when I was on the phone). You sure Mat? Would I get my insurance any cheaper if I ring them up and correct them???

its a cat 1 alarm system not cat 2

A Cat 2 is just an immobiliser.

Cat 1 is a imobiliser and alarm.

(but obviously only when fitted by a qualified person)

Might be worth asking them, it's definitely Cat 1 mate, sounds like you've got a monkey on the other end of the phone!

All UK cars have the Cat 1 system fitted!
