Tyre Noise

Hi There,

Quick question, I have noticed on my IS 200 (17 inch rims 215/45/17 tyres) that there seems to be a lot of road noise. At first I thought that one of the wheel bearings had gone but all are good (only 27K miles) The tyres on the front are Firestones, whilst the ones at the rear are Federal. I am thinking that it may be the cheap tyres on the rear that could be the culprits. All TP's are ok, noise disappears at about 85-90 mph. Any thoughts?

Blimey.... robmitch is a new member (6 posts) and entitled to post in the wrong place until he can navigate the club.... Surly some guidance rather than a pistol whipping would be more polite!

robmitch can you check the rear inner tyre wear and see it the tread has a 'wave/ scallop' pattern of wear?
