Brake Calibre

hey guys, just found out today that I need to get my drivers side brake calibre replaced, quote given by toyota with labour is just over 440, I keep hearing from different people that I could get a repair kit or even look for a second hand part. would would you guys do in my position. is the price given above worth paying to get this problem resolved?

any help would be appreciated

Why does the caliper need replacing?

when im reaching 50-60mph, the steering wheel and auto transmission begin to shake and vibrate heavily, apparently toyota say that this is caused by some sort of over heating with the brake caliper and thats why it needs to be replaced.

Sounds like it may be warped discs but it may be that caliper is sticking.

I know that you get judder when they get warped but i think it is normally when just braking so it may be that caliper is sticking some how.

Not sure if thats the right part but i'm sure someone will be able to help with that.
