Tmc. Will It Work With Sat Nav Direction Volume Turned Down?

Recommended Posts

I travel the same length of road quite often so I don’t need to use the Sat Nav, I usually do though so that I can receive any TMC announcements. My question, does anyone know if the Sat Nav direction voice can be turned down but the TMC will still be heard if an incident occurs.

I know that with the RDS traffic announcements via the radio the radio/cd can be turned on with the volume down to zero and the announcements will still come through, anyone know if this happens with TMC?

I’m loath to just turn the volume down and test it just in case it doesn’t work and I miss an announcement.

I'll record some, email them to you and you can play them back while you are driving along and pretend they are real.

Seriously. I feel for you as they seem to work well in the SW of UK. I'm not too sure when you get nearer the busy parts, London etc... too much going on to re-route easily I guess up there.
