Hot New Grille For New Gs300 And Gs400

Recommended Posts

if the guy is linked to the company that makes the grill why doenst he just say so....trader fees on here are reasonable and there may well be a market for new GS stuff

Mark,

For your information I have seen the same product advertised on a U.S Website, from memory I think it was a good bit cheaper than the site you found.

Also you mentioned you bought your car from Lexus Exeter. I too bought my car from that dealership in October '06. May I ask who you have been dealing with? There seem to be only three customer facing staff there becouse they are quite small, and I may be able to give you the name of the salesman I dealt with who seemed very efficent, and may be able to help out.

I actualy live in a North West London suburb, but went to Exeter as they were the only dealer to have the vehicle in the colour and spec etc I was looking for with a shorter delivery time.

By the way you mentioned Plymouth. Surely if you live there it would be easier to goto the Lexus Exter dealers main showroom which is based in Plymouth?

Look forward to hearing from you

Regards

Keith

sounds like there are some clever techies out there - for which i appreciate input - anyway for those interested I purchased for £400 plus VAT and delivery - as i say i will post pics next week and you can make up your own minds - meantime i am after some wooden inserts - anyway any ideas or links for me - gratefully received Mark

ah now i get it - some of you guys are dealers in Lexus products hence the peculiar interest in the site and links rather than the product - ie Prolex, TDI etc - quite funny really - I wondered why there was jealousy on the replies but couldnt understand !!!!! - OK dealers sell me some more goods for my new GS300 to make it unigue - all usefull info gratefully received - Lexus itself in the UK is VERY limited and VERY expensive - again thanks

Well you got yourself a true bargain didn't you... Has anyone seen the new series on TV by Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse? Each show includes a sketch in a shop called 'I saw you coming' which features a salesman in an emporium of grossly overpriced junk, which he then proceeds to sell to gullible people with considerably more money than sense. Obviously, this sketch is more closely based on real life than I thought!

Mark, you've been asked before to identify what this jealousy is you keep mentioning. No-one here is jealous of anyone else on here, but many of us do know each other quite well both in real life and through the forums. So if we get presented with an ad for something that is both grossly overpriced and advertised in a misleading way, then how can you possibly be surprised if it gets called out for being such? It's not jealousy, it's just common sense - and most of us didn't get to own a Lexus by being especially short of common sense or intelligence. So in other words it's not jealousy, and none of us here are stupid.

Frankly I think you have insulted all of us by waltzing in saying you've found something amazing (when it is blatantly not), is 'a very fair price' (when it is very overpriced), and then banded accusations of jealousy around, when in fact all anyone has ever said is that the grille is far too expensive for what it is and the company selling it looks very suspicious. There is no contact address or phone number, or decent photos, and seems to have been built to resemble as closely as possible a genuine Toyota/Lexus website whilst just staying on the right side of the law. None of which is likely to fill anyone with a great deal of confidence. And since you have just tried to brush aside any comments relating to the huge coincidence of you registering here with almost the same name as the owner of that domain, on exactly the same day as that domain was registered - well that doesn't inspire confidence in either your commendations for the product, or the site itself. Again, not jealousy but common sense.

This thread gets funnier and funnier. Keep it coming :D

EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR VIEWS AND OPINIONS BUT I SUSPECT SOME OF YOU ARE TRADERS WHEREAS I AM NOT - DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IT COSTS TO BUY THE ONE INCH LIP SPOILER ON THE GS300 SE ? - FROM LEXUS ITS £418 PLUS VAT PLUS INSTALLATION - IE WELL OVER £700 AT THE END OF THE DAY !!!!! - MAYBE YOU ALL HAVE OLD SECOND HAND LEXUSES AND ACCESS TO CHEAP RELIABLE 3RD PARTIES IN WHICH CASE DO TELL ME - MEANTIME I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE GRILLE - MY COLLEAGUES THINK IT LOOKS BRILLIANT AND LEXUS GARAGE LOVES IT - ONE MANS MEAT !

BTW - I THOUGHT THIS WAS A FORUM FOR DISCUSSIONS ABOUT CARS AND PRODUCTS NOT ABOUT KNOCKING A SUPPLIER OF PRODUCTS FOR LEXUS !

IF ANYONE HAS OTHER WEBSITES OR SUPPLIERS OF CHEAP LIP SPOILERS ETC DO LET ME KNOW AS WOULD BE APPRECIATED

ENJOY THE REST OF BANK HOLIDAY...I JUST LOVE THE GS300 ITS A SUPERB CAR

Have you got any pics you can stick up mate so the guys can see how your car looks now?

To be honest you're gonna probably be wanting to check out TakaKaira for an idea of what's out there, then you can either buy from them or check out either Prolex or TDi or Altezza Lighting or even eBay for somewhere to buy in the UK.

You'd be fine buying straight from TK or even somewhere like JPS Trading on eBay which I presume is a guy who used to do a lot of stuff on here...

TakaKaira are on http://www.takakaira.com/ - just check out their Aero Kits section to see what's available for the GS :)

There's no jealousy here, just people worried that one of their own may get ripped off if you see where I'm coming from and I guess a few alarm bells were rung here..
