"odd Tapping Noise"

I have a 2 week-old IS250 SE-L, and have noticed an odd tapping noise which is coming from the upper-offside engine bay area (in front of windscreen). I suspect it is a pump of some sort but it is a noise I have not heard on any engine previously. Lexus Cambridge say it is normal but it is quite loud. When the engine is gently revved, this noise changes in its frequency which at tick-over is regular.

Has anyone had or is getting this noise?

Yes, and it's the fuel injection system and quite normal..should only be able to hear it with the bonnet up though

I already posted this somewhere, mine is a very loud tapping and it is quite normal apparantly, the loan IS250 I had was the same.

Mine does the same! I just told the misses it was the sound of a V6 :P
