Can I Fit A Tow Bar On An Is200?

Recommended Posts

All,

Bought an SE Auto a few months ago as my Mondy's been in the garage for the past 5 months. That was an estate with roof bars and great for carrying bikes about. Sadly the lack of working gearbox did let it down somewhat.

The IS200 is a little, erm, smaller! I can get the wheels in the boot but that's about it. I don't really feel like putting a very muddy bike on the back seat!

Has anybody ever looked in to fitting a tow bar? Not to pull a caravan just to clip on a bike carrier - clip on/pull off quickly is what I'm after. I could get a new foot pack for the rack I've already got but fitting takes a while and by the time I get home I just want to hang the bike on and go...

Any ideas? (Other than join a gym!)

Many thanks

I have the Lexus detachable one fitted to mine. Quite neat (although on the first attempt they cut the rear bumper (which they did not need to do), they ended up replacing it with a new one.
